1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO is identical to its sibling the i3 EVO. They differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. That makes the i3+ a good option for those looking for an automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but aren't afraid of manually emptying their robot's dustbin when it fills up.
Both robots are proficient at picking up surface dirt on hard floors and carpets, and they can easily navigate around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart maps of your home that aid the i3+ in its navigation and clean efficiently. However unlike the i7+ and other top rated robots we test the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features, so it may get stuck on things such as power cords or socks, and may have issues navigating across surface transitions like from hardwood to carpet.
iRobot recommends clearing areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, which includes getting rid of any clutter or toys it might encounter. It's also recommended to keep the dust bin and filter clean so they do not become blocked by dirt. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is empty it goes back to its docking station and automatically empties its debris into the station's external dustbin, and then continues cleaning where it left off. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes about three hours to fully recharge.
2. Roomba by iRobot
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in iRobot's flagship line and is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. -- the most important feature of all -- it has self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ can map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning jobs, and you can control your robot through the app or via voice.
click here to read i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests compared to the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin which removes major maintenance sources and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.
We were also impressed with the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to begin or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room and vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. Once connected, to speak commands to the i7+ for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and evaluating the performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world filled with vacuums that are cordless and look like minivans or buses, this tiny Dyson model is a sports car. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum for the majority of households and can fit in well next to the coffee table or shelves that you can spin around like an enchanted tool.
The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. Its advanced whole-machine filter system captures allergens and expels cleaner air back into your home. Its cleaning head is specially designed and drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpets to trap large particles and fine dust. It comes with three suction settings to meet the task at hand. It quickly switches from floor vac to handheld vacuum and back.
This model has a dock which charges the Dyson to 100% within 3.5 hours. It also offers easy access to 2 attachments and a Wand. This is a significant improvement over earlier Dysons, which take a long time to charge and are difficult to store.
The V10's biggest drawback is its limited run time. Its claims on the market that it can provide up to 60 minutes of running time are a bit misleading as CR's tests show. This is a typical, not an exceptional, time for an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. It's enough time to clean a typical-sized home however, it's not enough time to reach every spot. (A second run usually works). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior on low-pile floor carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have lots of money to invest in an expensive robot. It's capable of sucking up most kinds of debris in our testing, and it frequently goes over the same areas many times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front design allows it to reach corners and the edges of walls.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and help you navigate your home. It's not equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, including our top picks, the i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. It is prone to getting stuck on phone cords or furniture and is often unable to supply power before returning to its home base.

Samsung is a well-known brand in the field of home electronics. It's not a surprise that they are one of the top makers of robot vacuums and mop. Their Jet Bot AI+ is equipped with cutting-edge onboard technology for navigation and obstacle avoidance.
The app offers a variety of options to personalize your robotic cleaner, such as virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior modification docking frequency settings and much more. The app is simple to use and understand similar to other Samsung devices.
In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). It didn't do very well in avoiding taller objects like cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's priced higher than other models we've tested, and this could be a deterrent for certain shoppers.

The app makes it possible to manually steer the robot when needed. My living room rug, for example has a dark-colored border which could cause a problem for other robots. However the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border, but it didn't register it as an incline. The ability to program a weekly cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving benefit.
